Families are pre-qualified for 6 months. Each family has a volunteer mentor who calls one week before pickup to discuss other needs and to give appointment times. Families Drive thru once a month to receive non-perishable food and Food Gift Card (s) based on size of family. P.S.M. Office orders non-perishable food items -from Superlo Foods- which are delivered one week before; volunteers unload several hundred cases of food and sort; volunteers bag at least three bags of food items; and volunteers distribute the food bags on the day of distribution. Families “Drive Thru” and volunteers load food bags into the cars. Loaves & Fishes Food Program relies heavily on volunteers and monetary donations to support this Ministry.
